| best for intermediate learner, difficult for beginner | |
| | I tried to improve my accent one years ago and used this book as a guide. It was really difficult for me that time because the author's speed is really fast, I can hardly follow the exercise so I just listened through it and learned those rules. Then I used some other materials to improve each phoneme and now I can catch up with this book. I'd say it is the best accent training book I've ever used.
The voice is beautiful and the rules are described very clear. Starting from intonation is really important and this book give very thorough description and exercises for it. The explanation of /l/ helps me to understand and pronounce it better.
The only thing I'd like to have is some more explaining about other phoneme, such as /zh/, it is still hard for me to pronounce it.
