Definitely for beginners
3 out of 5 stars.
I am a beginner in the industry and I felt most of the information was common sense and not specific to the industry. There was definitely some new information that I can use, but I don't beleive that someone already in the field would get much out of this book. It went so far as to explain how to keep records on paper. I definitely need something more detailed to follow this up.

The information is good, but all of this is available online, for free plus eight hours of searching and research. So if you work full-time, buy the e-book. If you have the time, research for yourself through discussion forums and advertising.

A Practical, Easy-To-Read, Beginners Guide
4 out of 5 stars.
I read a lot of books. Mostly about business and investing. I can't begin to tell you how many so-called "how to" books are really "how NOT to" books in disguise. For an instructional book to win high praise from me it must be clearly and succinctly written while providing to-the-point, factual information that can be put to immediate use for the purpose of the subject covered.

Bryon Krug's eBook does just that.

Too many instructional books on business spend page after page belaboring the intricate details of organizational form, federal, state, and local tax issues, employment practices, financing, bookkeeping, and naming your new enterprise. These are all important subjects for sure, but there are plenty of books that are dedicated to comprehensively covering those subjects at a level of detail far beyond the scope of an introductory book on a specific business endeavor. While the author does cover some of the more important aspects of those subjects, fortunately, "Vending Business-In-A-Box" doesn't suffer from the shortcomings of belaboring topics far outside the scope of the eBook.

What you get is business specific information based on years of experience from someone who has successfully operated a profitable vending route. Through a unique system of checklists and worksheets you are lead through every facet of establishing your own profitable vending route, from "Is vending for you?", "Finding your resources," and "Choosing a type of vending machine," to a "Warning Signs Checklist" that clearly lays out more than a dozen ways to protect yourself from vending scams.

Sections I found particularly helpful were how to find machines at ridiculously low prices, sometimes even for free. I checked some of the recommended sources and I couldn't believe how inexpensively I could buy vending machines. Other useful chapters included valuable information on how to boost sales, how to protect your products in the field from spoilage, pricing, organizing your inventory, and the importance of great customer service.

The vending business if but one of a number of business opportunities I've researched. I've yet to make a decision on whether or not I want to enter this business. However, after reading this book, I feel far more confident that if I do choose this field, I stand a far better chance of being successful.

While I give the author and his work high praise, I couldn't help but feel he could have done a better job of fleshing out each topic a little more fully. At 138 pages, certainly, there is much more useful information that could have been included. And since it's an eBook, it's not like it would have increased his production costs significantly.

Overall, if you want the nitty gritty on the vending business from a realistic and practical perspective of someone who has been there, then this is a good investment. It's an eBook, so once you buy it you can download it in minutes and finish reading it the same day. That's fast! And that feature is also very helpful.

Anybody getting into the vending business should buy this book first!

This e-book is by far one of
the most organized and well thought out books I've
read.

Like so many others who see internet promos on
starting your own business(bulk vending in
particular), I became more and more interested...Your
experience and valuable information has opened my eyes
to the pros and cons of the vending industry.

Highly recommended!

This is a very well written book on how to start your own vending business. If you are curious about starting a vending business but have no idea where to start, then this book is for you. Not only does it get you started, but there are numerous great tips once you have your route established.

The author is was also very quick to respond to a few email questions I had as well.

I would highly recommend this book to any vending entrepreneur.
